The Parmarth Niketan Ashram is located in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand India. It is situated near Ram Jhula on the banks of Ganges.

How to Reach: By Road/ By Rail/ By Air
By Air:  Jolly Grant airport at Dehradun is the nearest airport to Rishikesh which is approximately 35 kilometers away. 

By Road: There are frequent Government/Private buses from Delhi ISBT to  Rishikesh.

By Rail: There are trains available from Delhi to Haridwar. From Haridwar there is a 1hour bus journey to Rishikesh (about 23 kms). The bus stand is just across the road of railway station at Haridwar. One can get a bus from Bus stand for Rishikesh.  

From Rishikesh bus stop one can take a Auto Rickshaw to Ram Jhula to reach the Ashram. It is about 4-5 kms distance from Rishikesh Bus Stand.

Stay: One can make a reservation to stay at Parmarth Niketan Ashram from their web-site http://www.parmarth.org/reservations/ 

Food: There is an independent canteen at Ashram. They server meal and snacks.  The food served is simple and healthy. There are other plenty of restaurants/food outlet outside ashram as well.

Activities: There are many activities (prayers/kirtan) in Satang Hall throughout the day. The first prayer start at 5am at Satsang Hall everyday.

Below are the activities I liked the most during my stay at Parmarth:
  1. Morning Yog-asana & Meditation class in Yoga Hall (6:30am to 7:30am) [Mon-Sat]
  2. Evening Yog-asana class in Yoga Hall (4pm to 5pm) [Mon-Sat]
  3. Evening Ganga Havan & Aarti on the river bank
Yoga: The Morning/Evening Yoga classes are complimentary along with stay at Ashram.  The classes are really nice.

 It will be helpful to practice Surya Namaskar at home before your visit, If you plan to attend complimentary Yoga classes at Parmarth.
